M&E Provision: Sandon Global New UK Headquarters

Site:

Sandon Global is an award-winning manufacturer of anilox rolls for specialist print industries. They decided to choose Manor Park in Runcorn as the location for their new UK headquarters.

Project Scope:

The new building has been designed around the needs and workflow of their existing business and includes high-tech factory production areas, offices, gym, shower, kitchen, eating and social spaces.
The architecture is visually impactful, with all the M&E services left exposed, and Meel Group were contracted for the extensive M&E provision for the building.

Contract Arrangements:

Through a tender process, Cumberbirch Construction awarded us the contract based on our price and reputation.
All of our operatives were in possession of CSCS cards. All RAMS were in place and signed off before work commenced.

Project Challenges:

We quickly adapted our processes to incorporate rigorous COVID-secure practices with daily COVID briefings by our site manager, ensuring that all site colleagues were familiar with the challenging working conditions and environment.

The exposed M&E services design meant that all work was completed in a way to allow for a perfect final result.

Client feedback:

Working with a combined M&E contractor like Meel Group is a massive advantage for us; their mechanical and electrical engineers work together truly as part of one team.
Should a problem ever arise,  I know I could speak to someone I trust, and any issues would be resolved as quickly as possible.
I would genuinely have no hesitation in recommending Meel Group as an M&E contractor. They always provide excellent service with an extremely high level of skill and management.
